Busbud Refund For Any Reason add-on enables you to cancel your Busbud trip purchase at any time and for any reason up to 15 minutes prior to your first scheduled departure and receive a 100% refund from Busbud in credits or cash, as set forth in these Terms.
100% of your ticket value back as Busbud credits for non-refundable or partially refundable fares. If the ticket you purchased does not allow for refunds or exchanges, you will receive your refund in credits to be used on Busbud.
100% of your ticket value back as refund for fully refundable fares (terms & conditions may vary). If the ticket you purchased allows for a full refund you may cancel your trip for a full refund to the original payment method. You must cancel the trip in your Busbud account at least 15 mins prior to the regularly scheduled departure in order to be eligible for a refund.
The Plan is subject to the following requirements and restrictions:
1. If you have purchased the Busbud Refund For Any Reason add-on, you may cancel your trip by clicking the cancel button on your Trip page.
No documentation or reason will be required in order to cancel. Your ticket’s refund status with the operator at the time of cancellation will determine if you receive a refund in cash or credits.

2. Except as provided in Section 6 below, you must cancel your trip purchase at least 15 minutes prior to your first scheduled departure. After this deadline has passed, the add-on Refund For Any Reason will expire and any changes or cancellations to your purchased trip will be subject to the fare rules imposed by the operator for your ticket.
3. Upon a valid exercise of your Refund For Any Reason add-on, Busbud will refund the total cost of your purchased Busbud trip as specified in the Plan that you purchased and according to the refund status with the operator at the time of cancellation. No additional expenses other than the cost of the trip purchased through Busbud will be reimbursed (including, for example, the Refund For Any Reason add-on fee or any other purchased items). Payments by Busbud of reimbursed amounts will be processed within up to sixty (60) business days via refund via the payment methods originally used. If any tickets subject to a Busbud Refund For Any Reason booking are or become eligible for cancelation or refund from the operator, including in the form of bus credit, you agree to accept that remedy from the operator as your exclusive remedy under the Refund For Any Reason booking, and in lieu of any Busbud refund.
4. Your Refund For Any Reason booking cost, and the amount of any refund in the event you elect to cancel, will be based on the final price you paid at the time of the initial purchase. If your purchased Busbud trip has been modified at your request after booking, the Busbud Refund For Any Reason booking will apply only to the original amount of the purchased trip.
5. Exercising your Refund For Any Reason booking for any trip in the booking will result in a cancellation of all purchased trips for all travelers for all legs or segments (i.e., outbound and return trips).
6. The Busbud Refund For Any Reason add-on does not apply following the earlier of:
a. A cancellation of any trip by an operator for any reason, including the result of a force majeure event;
b. A declaration of an “emergency” or similar “extraordinary measures” taken by any governmental authority in the destination city, region, or country of your Busbud trip, or issuance of a Safety and Security Alert by the United States Department of State or a Travel Health Notice Warning by the United States Center for Disease Control (CDC) for such destination; or
c. A designation by the World Health Organization (WHO) that the destination city, country, or region of your Busbud trip is at risk from COVID-19.
In the event of such cancellation, or declaration of emergency, alert, notice, designation, or other similar government action, your purchased Refund For Any Reason policy shall expire immediately and a refund of your Busbud trip purchase will be subject to the fare rules imposed by the operator for your ticket.
7. The Busbud Refund For Any Reason booking may only be purchased at the time of booking, and may not be added after the booking. Busbud may not offer a Refund For Any Reason booking on every Busbud trip. Busbud reserves the right to deny the purchase of a Refund For Any Reason booking to any customer for any reason.
8. The Busbud Refund For Any Reason booking cost is non-refundable.
